I get this error when i try and upload any excel source file and have looked in the forums but didn't find any options that solve the problem?

What is the source of your Excel files?  Not all "Excel" files are created equal. Some systems generate "Excel" files but they don't fully confirm to the file standard. Try opening the files and saving them, and see if that fixes it. Saving the files fixes any issues.

Good point, these files are a a workbook xlsx. I tried uploading excel files from Power BI approved training I did and these provide the same error.
