Hi, I am trying to set up a table where not all the columns are present in the source table.
example
Col 1, Col 2, Col3,Col4
Source data only has Col1 and 3
So I want populate Col and 3 with the data and leave the other blank
I have tried in M Query and it takes over 30mins to load 50 columns
I have also tried in Dax lookupvalue , but as the column doesnt exist in the source file it errors.
Is there a way to subdue this error
or is there a better way to do this
Thank you

Thank you works great 🙂
@Julian_H I'm not quite understanding this scenario. Can you maybe elaborate along with some sample data?
Apologies,
I have a template table with all the columns I need in,but the source file only has a few of these columns.
How do I populate the template with columns that are available in the source file and leave all the other blank
