Hi PowerBI experts,
I have a simple yet important and practical question:
What is the best way to calculate a new column based on a number of if conditions? Please see the code below - this is based on a long tree decision making.
It works fine but its ugly and not good for maintenance. What is the way to calculate this column guys?
My_New_Col =
IF(LEN([ColA])=0;
IF(ISBLANK([ColB]);
IF(LEN([ColC])=0;
IF([ColD]="Open");
[ColE];
IF(LEN([ColF])=0;
IF(LEN([ColG])=0;
"Missing Data";
[ColG]);
RELATED('Table_more_data'[ColF])));
[ColC];
IF(CONTAINSSTRING(RELATED('Table_more_data2'[ColA]);"xyz");"Waiting";"No deal"));
[ColA]
)
Thanks in advance for your help. Keep up the good work!
Comment: LEN and ISBLANK is used because of int and string columns
