Log Count Daily

Hi All,

I would like to track a count of singular field coming in through Microsoft Dynamics API.

Currently I have a visual that displays a count of how many customers invoices are overdue. For debt collection and reporting purposes - is it possible to log this count daily into a table and eventually be able to display the data as a trend?

For example:

The below visual displays how many invoices are overdue on a given day. A second visual would be created to track this number dailly.

I've been unable to find anything based off other forum searches. I understand Power Bi is not designed to store data and that this should be done within sql but for the purpose of tracking one count/measure, is this doable?

Thanks in advance,

Tyler

You shouldn't need to store data daily for this analysis.  You should be able to calculate the # of overdue invoices as of any date with the right DAX expression.  Basically, get the count of invoices with an open/created date before the subject date and a close date that is blank or after the subject date.  If additional help is needed, you can post some mock data and someone in the community can respond with a DAX expression.

Pat

@Anonymous , Based on what I got. You have daily overdue data and you want to append new data to it. for trend.

There are blog on DAX append, hope those can help
