Load pgadmin database into Power BI
Hi nfs03 ,
Depending on your confusion, whether you stay connected depends on your connection mode and whether you need to get the latest data from the data source (refreshing the data source).
In case of import mode connection to PostgreSQL, when the connection information is successfully configured, it will not affect your operation unless you click refresh in deskop.
If PostgreSQL is connected in direct query mode, then you need to stay connected to the data source at all times, because you need to send query information to the PostgreSQL data source.
Also, you can check the credential information in data source setting.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

i didnt understand. I am using import.
so what do you mean by desktop refresh?
when i shutdown system and loggin and open power bi the tables are not visible or do i have to open the .pbix file.
Also, i want that when reload the tables using import , it overwrites the tables instead of creating duplicates/copies
