Load Images from Computer

Hey guys!

I want to load a couple images (employee photos) and show them as the employee is selected (slicer).

The problem is: I can't upload the pictures to a website (and we don't have Azure to use Storage accounts).

The file name is the employee ID, so I could create a column like (c://..../emplyeeID).

Is there a way to do this using the pictures from my computer?

Thanks for your answer!

Well, it looks like a way to solve it, but I have two questions:

1. Is there a way to convert to Base64 without uploading to a website?

2. I have more than 4000 employees, so I have more than 4000 pictures, and I will have new pictures every month.

I would like to use the images on Power BI by creating a column like "[file location] & employeeID".

I don't know if this is a possibility right now.

Hi @FelipePalomino

In the video of the link which @amitchandak shared, there is a solution to solve both of these questions. It starts around 2:00 onward. You could also refer to this blog which is also referenced in the video.

You will need to take care of the image size. Based on my test, large images don't display correctly but I haven't found the specific data size limitation. You will probably need to adjust the image size if they hit the limitation. Otherwise, you could also refer to this blog to work with large images in Power BI.
