Line graph slicer

I am trying to make a line graph showing the progress of service through time.  I have 3 measures of the service through that period of time, each one is presented through a number per month. When i place the table, it showes the number by (Sum). I am not able to make a slicer to show each measure by itself.

I would like to filter the graph by X, Y and Z as a catagory not by the numbers.

Hi,

In Power Query, right click on the first column and select "Unpivot Other Columns".  Rename attribute to Category.  Click on Close and Apply.

Hope this helps.

I would like to thank both of you. The only way it worked when I mixed both solution together, I made the unpivote colume, and change implecite number.

Thank you

what do you meam?

Implict measures are where you drag a column on to a visual and select a aggregation type

Explicit is where you create a named measure by writing a DAX function

Field parameters can't use implicit measures

 Something wrong in the filter

Are the implict, or explicit measures?

I have tried that several times, it is not working.

Is there something I miss, the data in the table, the relation between the two tables after changing the Y axis by the parameter?

You can do this with field parameter.

  • Go to modelling in the ribbon and select parameters then field parameter
  • Add the 3 measures
  • This will create a new table and a slicer on the page
  • Replace the 3 measures in the table/matrix with the column from the field parameter
  • You can then select which of those 3 measures are visable
