Line chart - show dates at a given interval on X-axis

Hello,

We have a Power BI Report with a line chart on it.  The X-Axis is a date field.  By default the (X-axis) Type is 'Continuous' and shows Jan-2024, Feb-2024, etc as the X-axis values.  Please see screenshot below for example.

But, our users want the X-axis to display 1/31/2024 2/28/2024, 3/31/2024, etc - month-end dates.

We do have a 'month-end date' field in our Dates table - tried adding that but didn't work - kept repeating same month-end date for every day of the month.

Also, have changed X-axis Type to 'Categorical' but then it also displays every date.  Need to set some interval to only show every month.

How can this be done?  Seems like it should be possible.

Thanks,

DAX:

ENDDATE = EOMONTH(Orders2014[Order Date],0) and Just change the Categorical Instead of the Continuous.

I'm reasonably sure 'categorical' is the right choice with the EndOfMonth field in the x-axis field well.

Can you show what happens when you try that + a small data sample so I can test please?
