Hi! I have a problem that is getting very annoying... I´ve been trying to achieve a chart like the one below:
As you can see, I need to be able to see all the data with no date slicer at the botton of the chart (I am able to do that by setting the date with no hierarchy). The problem with that is that if I set the chart with "no date hierarchy", I´m not able to enable the marker for certain line, so I cannot combine lines and dots in the same chart (as the example above, that contains sporadical data as dots, and day data as lines or area).
When I change the date setting to "hierarchy date" Iam able to combine lines and dots, but Im not able to see the entire data all together, wich is what I want in the first place.
Is there any solution to this?
Thx in anvance!
Tony
any power bi god who has a solution to this? ![]()
Of course, it´s very simple indeed...
just one tables with sporadit data (this is the data for the dots - not the same numbers as the above chart, but it helps as an example)
| Date | DOT DATA |
| 01/02/2019 | 23 |
| 01/15/2019 | 34 |
| 02/17/2019 | 32 |
| 03/01/2019 | 30 |
| 06/19/2019 | 25 |
and another table with continuous data (again here, not the same data as the chart)
| Date | Continuous data |
| 01/01/2019 | 34 |
| 01/02/2019 | 34 |
| 01/03/2019 | 33 |
| 01/04/2019 | 32 |
| 01/05/2019 | 45 |
| 01/06/2019 | 62 |
| 01/07/2019 | 23 |
| 01/08/2019 | 41 |
| 01/09/2019 | 11 |
| 01/10/2019 | 23 |
| 01/11/2019 | 65 |
| 01/12/2019 | 12 |
Both tables are linked by a calendar table...
Hi @TonyBI ,
I leave here a nice brief document regarding Asking and Answering questions in the PBI Community forum:
