Line Chart help please

I'm sure it's obvious but I'm a newbie here...

Why, when my chart is displaying the last 3 months it does so nicely but when I use the slicer to change it to show 4 months or longer it gives me this mess?

Hi,

According to your description, i create a sample to test:

20.PNG

Then create a what if parameter from 0-10 first for selecting last N months.

Then please try this measure:

Measure =
VAR a =
    SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Last Month'[Last Month] ) - 1
RETURN
    IF (
        MONTH ( TODAY () ) - a >= 0,
        CALCULATE (
            SUM ( 'Table'[Days Open] ),
            FILTER (
                'Table',
                'Table'[Date Created]
                    >= DATE ( YEAR ( TODAY () ), MONTH ( TODAY () ) - a, 1 ) - 1
            )
        ),
        CALCULATE (
            SUM ( 'Table'[Days Open] ),
            FILTER (
                'Table',
                'Table'[Date Created]
                    >= DATE ( YEAR ( TODAY () ) - 1, MONTH ( TODAY () ) - a + 12, 1 ) - 1
            )
        )
    )

When select last 3 months or last 4 months, the result shows:

21.PNG

22.PNG

Here is my test pbix file:

Hope this helps.
