Limitations of using SQL Server Function as data source for Power BI

We in our company want to use SQL Server Object Functions as a data source for Power BI like we use Views, Stored Procedures etc. Since Functions are not used much as data source like Views, can anyone, who have already used functions guide us about their limitations in Power BI?

Thank you

@Anonymous ,

you can't read directly from a function in power bi, the function in the sql server should store the data in a view then you read the view in power bi.

PREVIEW
Thanks for your reply!
We have are using Functions in Power BI Desktop by directly fetching them like we fetch Views.
The concern is will there be any issue using them as we move ahead.
This is a new scenarios for us and looking for advice from people who have already used them.
