Good morning,
I am trying to edit a PBI Paginated/Report Builder report and currently it has 4 nested rows - Transaction Type, Region, Division and Business Unit. These rows sum various totals such as daily sales amounts and quantities for each granularity of grouping. I'd like to add a 5th for the country of each business unit but it seems to be breaking but doesnt appear to be a logic problem as when I put the text expression into the 4th nested row, it works and the 5th still does not appear.
Just to be sure i threw "TEST" down in place of the expression and the row still doesn't populate.
Hoping this group can let me know if this is a limitation of report builder or some other issue I'm encountering?
Thanks!

Hi @evangamboa ,
Thanks for the update, and no worries on the delay .
According to the documentation, there is no limit on the number of rows that a tablix can display in the Paginated Reports created through Power BI Report Builder. In addition, the number of rows in a matrix visualization in Power BI is fixed and not scrollable.
For more information, you can refer to :
Tables, matrixes, and lists in Power BI Report Builder - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
But, Based on your message and the detail that "Geography_Hierarchy_1" is showing at the top of your group structure, it appears that the Country group was added as a parent or peer group, rather than being nested under Business Unit. This common scenario can prevent the group from rendering correctly in a paginated report.
In Report Builder, the hierarchy of row groups directly impacts data rendering. If a group is added at the incorrect level, particularly as a parent instead of a child, it may not display any data due to misalignment with the dataset structure.
I hope this helps...

Hi @evangamboa ,
Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Fabric Community. It seems the 5th nested row isn’t appearing, even though the expression works fine at the 4th level. Since you tested using simple text like TEST, and the row still didn’t show up, this likely isn’t a logic issue it’s more about the report structure.
Confirm the following
1. Nested rows sometimes inherit visibility conditions from their parent. Make sure the Country row isn’t accidentally hidden.
2. Confirm that your dataset supports the extra grouping for Country within each Business Unit.
3. Ensure Country is correctly linked to Business Unit so it’s available for grouping.
4. Try placing Country outside the nested structure first to confirm that the data is pulling in correctly.
5. Check the Tablix settings to ensure the 5th row is properly nested within the grouping.

Hi @V-yubandi-msft - apologies for the delay - this was a lower priority issue that I hadn't had time to pick back up.
I've gone through your checklist &
1) Country Row isn't hidden, i confirmed it's visible.
2 & 3) It's linked via our hierarchy of locations, as aforementioned it has been tested in power bi & works
4) I tried placing it in place of my 4th nested group, Company Name and the country appeared properly. Putting company in the 5th nested group makes company disappear.
5) - it appears nested, it's the top one "Geography_Hierarchy_1" - doesn't appear when I run the report
