I have a table that has columns MTD, QTD and YTD. I have a slicer where the user can select a date to use for the comparison. So, if the user selects 2/15/25, the visual will show sales for current year and previous 5 years sales as of Feb 15th, for MTD, QTD and YTD.
My problem: User wants to compare sales as of Feb 28th, 2025 to previouse years. However, 2024, and any other leap year, is missing sales for Feb 29th. I can't enter Feb 29th for 2025 because it is not a leap year.
I know I can create slicers for month instead, but the client likes to be able to compare sales through the exact day of the month that they enter.
Any ideas are appreciated.
@JoseHebron You could split things into 3 slicers, year, month, day. But you need to get the requirement from the customer as to how they want to handle things. What happens if someone picks Feb 29th 2025? Is that even logical to provide them with that option?
