Latest MySQL connector V8.1.0 not working on PowerBI

I am trying to access the MySQL database to connect some data from it. But I'm getting this error:

I went into the learn more link, which takes me to download page of MySQL-Connector-net 8.1.0:

I have downloaded this version and installed it, but I'm still facing the same issue.
Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

The same thing happened to me, I used the Maria DB connector. I hope it helps you

Hi! I am facing the exact same issue here. I tried solving it by downloading a previous version (8.0.32), and it might work, but then Workbench cannot connect to the data base.

I´m stuck in a loop here, any help woulb be much appreaciated.
