Keyword search not appearing

HI, 

I am trying to use the keywords option on custom columns. I have text ( have checked it is in text) but when i go to do custom columns it doesnt give the option for KEYWORDS. I did on one occasion get this but have never found out why. Have just noticed that if i go into the column that has the keyword title i get the keywords

Try to use the search function to search for keywords.

)
