Keep top 5 in graph when secondary hierarchy is dragged in for drilling down

Hi All,

I currently have a column graph which is filtered on to show the top 5 aggregate figures of a measure.

When I drag in a second level hierarchy to form a drill down, the top 5 ranking is lost and all data points are shown.

Can you please advise if it is possible to maintain the top 5 whilst still being able to drill down to the more granular details?

Cheers,

Dom

Hi @PBIFCSuperUser,

Have you tried setting TopN filter for each item in the hierarchy before drilling down? I have tested it with Top 1 for each item in Date hierarchy, and the top 1 can be maintained when drilling down to the more granular details.Smiley Happy

HI @v-ljerr-msft,

Yes I have tried this and it works initially to drill down however when I click drill up, the TopN is lost in the top hierarchy.

Do you know how to lock it in so the TopN doesn't reset?

Your help is much appreciated!

Cheers,

Dom

Hi @PBIFCSuperUser,

I retested it again, and I also lost the TopN filter when drilled up. So it may be a feature that not currently supported.
