I have a table with 2 date fields, looking at the properties they should be the same:
But they seem to behave differently when I'm trying to filter on a date slider and looking at te table structure it seems
that the 2 fields are not equal:
am I missing something here?
I just want a start and end date in order to be able to filter by time period via 2 slicers:
but it's not working and I think it has to do with the fields format.
Anyone could help? TIA
Hi @df123445 ,
Make sure that the “Created” field is not related to a date in another table; if it is, there is no hierarchy of dates on multiple ends.
Hope it helps!

What do you mean by "“Created” field is not related to a date in another table" in fact the whole table is created based on another table (just a distinct subset of fields) and the expired is a calculated column in the original table.
I had a look at the various steps and I can't see any errors (no blank records and the fields are always set to date/time through the various trasformation). Could it be the issue?
TIA
Hi @df123445 ,
That's why, you need to mark it as date table.
Set and use date tables in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Hope it helps!

Ensure both date fields (expired and created) are set to Date/Time in Power BI.
If either column contains blank values or nulls, this might affect filtering. ( Remove blanks)
If the date hierarchy is generating from one field but not the other, you may want to: Manually create hierarchies in both date fields, or ensure you are creating your slicers or visuals from the correct fields.
If this helped, a Kudos 👍 or Solution mark would be great! 🎉
