Issue with Slicer and field without a relationship

Hello, 

I am having an issue with a model. I have thirteen tables that need to be linked using an Code, which works fine. But in addition, I would also like to filter these based on a report name field that indicates what month the data is from. This field is not in a date format but I don't know if that will matter.
