Hello Power BI Community,
I am facing a challenge with my Power BI report and would appreciate any guidance you can provide. I have created a histogram to display monthly data, and below it, I've added a matrix to show the rate of change compared to the same month in the previous year. The histogram visual does not inherently support displaying the variation measure in the way I need, so I've cleverly masked columns in the matrix to only display the values beneath the histogram bars (as seen in the attached image).
The issue arises when I select a different year that contains a mix of positive and negative variation rates. The positive values cause a misalignment as they take up more space, and thus the matrix's width no longer matches the histogram above it. This disrupts the visual coherence of the report.
I am looking for a solution to ensure that the matrix aligns perfectly with the histogram regardless of the variation rates being positive or negative. Has anyone encountered a similar problem, or could you suggest a way to keep the visual elements aligned consistently?
Thank you in advance for your help!
That's not a histogram (a histogram is sorted by value).
Consider using a custom visual like Deneb that can overlay marks while using the same X axis.
