Hello,
For some reason, I already imported the same excel file into a Power BI Dashboard and everything worked fine but this time, when importing a file with a date column having some values as "-", it returns an error message.
I checked my dahsboard that works fine and the column format is "any". In the new dashboard the column format comes automatically as date hence the error.
Thanks for your help solving this

Unfortunately, I did not manage to fix it, so for now I'm just cleaning up my raw data by removing all the "-".
Not ideal but it's now working fine
Hi @Anonymous ,
By my tests, it may caused by the Type Detection.
You could unselect the option like below and try again.
If you still need help, please share a data sample which could reproduce your scenario so that I can have a test on it in my site.
Best Regards,
Cherry
Thanks for your reply. I tried the unchecking of the option but it did no tmake any differences.
I created a quick pbix file as well as the data source (XSLX file) however I'm not sure ont he way to share this with you (Sorry that's my first time posting on Power BI Blog)
Thanks in advance
Sebastien

Hi @Anonymous ,
You could share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)
