Issue on Bridge Table Showing Duplicate Values

Hi,

I created a bridge table using clients

Upon creating a relationship, Power BI showed a company as duplicated and when I filter this client it seems like there is no duplication.

Any idea how I can get this issue sorted out

Hi,

I spend several days trying to get one-to-many or vice versa for my files but still being forced to many-to-many even after removing duplicates, replacing null/blank & done upper case then trim plus clean as shown

Here is the link of the pbix - https://file.io/MZybpJnT8UuO

I hope someone can assist me...

Can you change ’Cross-filter direction’?

    Cross-filter direction: ’Both’--->’Single’

Hi,

I changed the filter from both to single for both one-to-many and many-to-ne but still have the same issue as shown

I got your DATA.

I think there are many mistakes. (^^;

Step 1: There are many dupulicate DATA in 'Append_PNS_Sheet'.

    I delete these duplicate rows.

Step 2: I make a PBIX-file and add a relationship between 'Proposal No' and 'Proposal'.

Thanks Mickey. Those Unspecified rows are previously blanks and I want them because there are proposal that were created even without clients. Are you able to help address this issue?

If you can provide me with a goal image, I think I can help.

The goals is establish a relationship between the two data sheets using the bridge because each sheets contain information that only exist on the other like the cost is on the other sheet while the responsible person is on the other.  btw these information were taken out from the data sheet to protect sensitive data.

The only unique identifier is the proposal number but even this one is being flag by power bi as duplicates as shown from the screenshots even after I had used the remove duplicates from the power query.

Hope someone can help me

There are many duplicate DATA in 'Append1' table.

I delete all duplicate rows and add a relationship between 'Append1' and 'Append_WIP'.

It seems like the original link for the pbix is not working so here is the new one - https://file.io/EQWSdAo6TO03

When I add a relationship with a key column that contains null data, I get the same error.
To solve it I replace the 'null's with text data such as 'No data'.

Hi @tksnota

Can you please share a pbix or some dummy data that keep the raw data structure with expected results? It should help us clarify your scenario and test to coding formula.
