Is there a way to share desktop reports with data loaded?

My co-worked imported data from an R script that I don't have access to run on my PC. I can use/visualize the data, but I can't access/pull it myself.

He loaded/queried the data, and sent the power bi desktop app to me. However, when I open, none of the data is in the file...

Is there a way to have the file sent over with the data loaded? (without dumping it in excel and using that as the new source)

Thanks,

By default pbix files will include any data for tables in import mode.

So I see 2 possible causes for why you cannot see the data:

  1. They've saved the file as a pbit. These are template files which do not store the data, just the queries used to populate the tables. If this is the case get your co-worker to save the file as a pbix file instead
  2. Your co-worker might have disabled the load on the queries. If this is the case they will need to right click on the queries for the tables you need to see then turn on the "enable load" option

Thanks for the response! For some reason neither of those solutions worked... Maybe because I don't have the credentials on my account to load the r script?
