In my power queries I have some functions that produce scalar data that it would be good to have available in DAX queries.
I know I can make tables out of them and these show up but Power BI has no way of organising those tables so it soon gets out of hand. What I've been doing to date is to create a table and putting all the values I want available in that table.
I can access it in power query using a function something like
let
GetGlobal = (FindName as text) =>
let
NoMons= try Global{[Name = FindName]}[Value] otherwise null
in
NoMons
in
GetGlobal
but would like a similar easy way to access these in Dax. Currently all I can think to do is to use calculate with a filter to select the correct row by column name. I have to do this every time I want to get the value. Am I missing a trick or is there another way to do this that I have not yet encountered?

Thank you, that worked out perfectly I have a handle on that now 🙂
