Is there a DAX command for retrieving a column name?

Is there a  DAX command for retrieving a column name.

Preferably the original query column name and not the renamed one.

The reason why is …..

I have a data model with 100’s of fields like

DimProduct

 Unit Price

 Weight

I also have a data dictionary on a sql server table with a list of each column name with description.

I want to be able to hover on a visual graph segment and then for Power BI to retrieve the original column name and do a lookup to get and display the data dictionary description.

NAMEOF is the DAX function you're looking for.

Hi @speedramps 

Currently, Dax doesn't support to get columns' names, you could use Power Query to get columns names.

Sample

Custom=Table.ColumnNames(#"previousSteps"){0}
