Is it safe to use connector for mysql?

Please, I need to clear up a question: is it safe to use a connector to connect Powerbi Desktop to a MySQL database?
Is it vulnerable to malware?

@mariobatistella I would be more concerned about your MySQL servers rather than the Power BI connector. I'm not aware of any malware or hacks to the connector but MySQL servers can be pretty vulnerable.

Right.
On the servers we have Kaspersky, with a firewall, and the only open port is the MySQL connection port.
Does this already keep you safe?
Another thing, besides the connector to connect to MySQL, is there another way?
