Is it possible to create a Power BI report on top of the Azure Purview?

Hi,

Is it possible to extract and create your own Azure Purview Data Insights Power BI report instead of using the one provided inside Azure Purview?

I am thinking about extracting the lineage, metadata and glossary from Azure Purview and create a Power BI report with that information.

Are there any other tools out there that can do data catalogs and export data?

I'm also looking to build my own Power BI dashboard for Purview insights. The default insights are not really telling the story we need.

Hi Eyelyn Qin,

It was more like if it was possible to pull out all metadata from the Azure Purview and then create a Power BI report which should replace / give more insights than the current "Insights" tab in the Azure Purview.

I have not been able to find anything about if it is possible to pull all metadata from Azure yet 🙂
