Hi everyone,
I want to create a dashboard with slicers but I want the slicers to filter the visualizations only when triggered via a button, similar to how search engine searchbar works. I do not want the slicer to take effect immediately on the vizualizations as it does by default.
I have tried the below approaches but it only allows me to perform the action once.
Method 1: Using Bookmarks
In bookmark 1, hide the vizualization and include a button that navigates to bookmark 2. In bookmark 2, unhide the vizualization.
Method 2: Using Page Duplication and Sync Slicers
In page 1, I create a slicer and sync it with page 2. In page 1, the interaction between slicer and vizualization is disabled but is enabled in page 2. The button navigates to page 2.
Please advise if this is possible, any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hey @Anonymous ,
that's possible with the query reduction tools.
For that go to File --> Options and settings --> Options
In the "Query reduction" area, you can add an apply button to slicers or below to the filter pane:
Afterwards on every slicer there will be an apply button and changes will not be applied until you press that button:
Hey @Anonymous ,
that would be great, but that's not possible at the moment.
Currently the only option is that every slicer has its own "apply"-button.

Hi @selimovd ,
Thank you for the suggestion, it was most insightful. Before I close this question, I want to find out if it is possible to link the apply button to a single button. I don't think PBI supports this out of the box but if you have any suggestions/idea that would be great.
Looking forward to your reply!
Thank you so much.
Best regards,
Julian
