Is it possible to add a Link /Bookmark in matrix visual to another report tab in same PowerBI report

Hi Team,

Checking if there is an option to add a link / Bookmark. Clicking on it will take you to that resp. tab in same Power BI report.
Take below picture as an example, i have added link ( Bookmarks) which is just an image over Matrix visual. Clicking on those will take you to resp. Tab (as Color coded in Image) but it becomes unusable as soon as we select any Manufacturing unit from Filter (refer 2nd Image).

Need to check if there is some option or workaround to place the link within Matrix visual itself that can be more flexible with Filter selection.

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi @Anonymous : Thanks you for your response.. You are correct, currently there is no functunality in power BI that you can create a link of the current pages. But i have found a workaround (May be temporary solution).
1) I have published the report by unhide the Hidden pages to the service and then
2) Copy the links of those pages and paste that in Matrix visual in my Pbi report.
3) Then while publishing the same report again to service i hide those report pages. so in this way i was able to sort this out as of now.

Hi @Vaibhav05

The other option is using a button.

The drillthrough destination can be set by an expression.

Here My page names match my region names so clicking North means the button drills to the north page and shows the text north, click on South East it becomes south east etc..

If you wanted multiple categories to lead to the same page use an expression, here all North's go to the same page and everyone else goes to the South:

Hi @SamWiseOwl :
My First concern is all the KPIs does not have all the Manufacturing Units. So when i select Manufacturing Unit e.g "Alwar" in the Slicer, it filters all the KPIs that has Manufacturing Unit which maked the visual messy (refer Image 2 above) because we have placed the link (as Bookmark) on the Matrix visual. So thats why checking if there is some way, we can include the link in the Matrix visual itself. thats would help solve the problem.
The above suggested solution does not provide the required solution.

Hi,SamWiseOwl ,thanks for your concern about this issue.

Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Hello,@Vaibhav05 .I am glad to help you.

May I ask if you have found a suitable solution, if you have, you can mark the suggestions you found helpful as solutions or share the alternatives you are currently using.
Going back to your question itself, you want to add custom hyperlinks in the matrix. Enabling direct jumps to other pages in the same report if you click on the link. You have already achieved a similar effect using adding bookmarks and buttons, but it only works on static report pages. When the layout is changed, the problem of incorrect display position occurs.
Unfortunately. I got the following conclusion from the official introduction: there seems to be no way for you to add custom URLs directly to the matrix or table visual in Power BI
Currently Power BI only supports adding real and valid web URLs directly, and there are restrictions on the type of URLs.

You can try to come up with your requirements through Microsoft Fabric Ideas and it may be successfully implemented in the near future.

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Hi @Vaibhav05

When you use a Field Value Parameter in a slicer it can swap which Measure is being returned.

Both of these measures are on two different pages as drillthrough targets.

Which ever I choose in the slicer works.

I feel like it should be possible to use this without the slicer to achieve what you are asking. Just need a way to switch which measure is being returned on the row.

Hi @Vaibhav05

Have you considered using Drillthrough instead?
You can choose to keep or remove filters and you can drill on a measure.

Hi @SamWiseOwl ,
Thanks for the solution. Is it possible to add multiple drill through options for different KPIs ? So that we can navigate to resp. detailed page of that KPI e.g Accidents TRI in the above image.

@SamWiseOwl : As far as i know Drill through option can set for whole Matrix visual and will take you to a common page which has detailed view of all the KPIs.
