Infographic Designer 1.8.9 - decrease number of decimals / decimals fixed at 2

Hi all,

I just discovered Infographic Designer and I really like this visual. However, I'm having issues with the displayed number format.

I created this measure:

Then I created the visual, which shows a nice burger per entity:

As you can see the numbers have 2 decimal places, while I only want one. I saw online that others also had this issue, but didn't come across a solution. The posts I saw were quite old, so I'm hoping there's a solution/workaround for this (edit: other than displaying the number in a card visual, as the number of entities is dynamic).

Does anyone have the answer?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I have found the solution myself. If you go to the text layer you can click the symbol below the Text input field:

And adjust the number of decimal places:

Kind regards

Hi @Anonymous ,

Is your confusion: After modifying the format, the result displayed in the visual does not match the format set? I did the same test, but I can’t reproduce your problem. The format displayed in the visual is consistent with the format set in the format.

Check the type of the specific field, then recreate the formula and modify the format. If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry

Hi Henry,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Just checking, as your visual looks like the regular card visual. Did you use the Infographic Designer one? That is the one that is giving problems. Unfortunately I cannot share my report, as my laptop will not allow me.

The data looks like this:

Let me know if you were already using the Infographic Designer visual. In that case I will explain step by step what I did.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @v-henryk-mstf,

Sorry just noticed I forgot to tag you.

Looking forward to your response.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I use Infographic Designer in the latest version of the desktop, I'm afraid this function isn't what you think. It is a percentage of a solid value or a relative percentage, which isn't the comparison of the two measures.

You can refer to the test file to understand as below.

Best Regards,
Henry

Hi @v-henryk-mstf,

Thank you for your reply. I don't totally understand what you mean. In my example I have 3 burgers, each representing an entity, with the total burger representing revenue per entity and the relative coloring the specific gross margin % of that entity. So total burger = 100% and gross margin % is the part that is colored.

My question is how to make sure to only show 1 decimal instead of the default 2. Do you know how to achieve this?

Thanks a lot in advance.
