I have created an index column to display my rows as below, which is correct.
When I bring in my DAX, the row in question goes to the bottom and it should not be. How can I correct this?
Hi, @Yrstruly2021
Have you resolved this issue please, you can refer to @Zang_Mi and @Bipin-Lala reply, by the way, thanks very much for their replys. If you are not sure how to use the feature they describe, you can refer to the steps below.
1. Check the Report View interface and select the description column in your table.
2. In the Column tools interface, select Sort by column, and then select index .
3. Create Matrix visual

Cant sort by index.
Hi, @Yrstruly2021
Your description column has multiple identical values, if you want to implement this feature, you have to make sure that your description column is a unique field to be able to do so, and if you can, you need to change the same description of the description column to try to make their values different

Hello,
As @Bipin-Lala has mentioned, it should work correctly if you have used Sort by Column to sort description. In addition to that, I have noticed that in your visual the records are sorted in ascending order in accordance with the numeric value returned. Please check whether you have clicked on the second column header to sort the records in that way. If this is the case, you should sort again the records in the visual based on description column 🙂.
Hi @Yrstruly2021,
That seems weird. Did you use the Sort by Column option in the Column Tools tab to sort accountcode/ description by index column?
If I misunderstood your question, could you please provide some more details around it?
