Hi.
Is it possible to use Incremental Refresh with PostgreSQL database?
In new post about this feature there is no mentioned list of avaluable data sources - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-premium-incremental-refresh
I tried to use connection with NPGSQL and ODBC drivers as connectors to database, but incremental refresh doesn`t work.
Maybe some one tuned this feature with postgresql already, please share your experience 🙏
And is it possible to test incrimental refresh in PowerBI desctop before publish or it is possible only in PowerBI service?
Hi @inspector-cloud ,
As far as I know, incremental refresh will only apply once you have published the report to service.
If you want a preview on desktop, you could come up a new idea about that here to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
I am using citus-data. A version of postgreSQL. I am able to see the incremental load option in import mode.
In case you are using direct Query, I am also able to work in direct query mode. But direct query will not have incremental refersh option.
Thank you very much for your reply!
Could you tell please, have you tested this feature in PowerBI Service already?
It is also able for me in desctope to activite incremental refresh, but after publish it doesn`t work. Reports with large dataset can`t refresh, they try to import all data during the refreshing, I think.
