Hello all,
I'am trying to set up an incremental refresh for a table with two years of data.
I'am in a premium workspace and my data source is azure analysis services. The schedule refresh online is failing again and again due to time out.
I really have to make this work through incremental refresh.
But, I'am failing to do so after a lot of attempts.
I have defined 2 parameters: Start (Current value:1/1/2017) & End (Current value: 12/31/2018)
I have selected enable load for the 2 parameters.
I have filtered my date column as per the parameters in the transaction table.
After making the changes I still get the error of parameters not defined when I go to incremental refresh.
What could possibly gone wrong?
Hi guys,
Has anyone faced a similar issue?
Please help.
Hi @Anonymous,
What kind of connection mode you are using with your data source? Based on my research, the parameter function in Powr BI service is currently only works on Imported data sources and not DirectQuery or LiveConnection.
You could refer to this below blog and test again.
Using the Power BI Service Parameters to change connection strings
Hope it could help you.
