Incremental Refresh

Hi,

Is it possible to setup incremental refresh on Snowflake View data source?
I added RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters.
I right-clicked on my table in Report View
In the Incremental refresh and real-time data dialog I get a warning:

Before you can set up incremental refresh on this table, you need to setup parameters.
As you see in the screenshot, #2 Set import and refresh ranges is greyed out

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-w

Hi,@tecumseh. Hello,@lbendlin,thank you very much for your help of this issue.Your answers are fantastic!
And I would like to share some additional advice below.

I am glad to help you.

According to your description, you have set the RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters, but the system is not recognizing them!

Here is my analysis, you can follow the order of troubleshooting
1.RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters must be Date/Time type.

2. You need to use the created RangeStart and RangeEnd to filter the fields of the table data with the incremental refresh mechanism, and the filter range must not have duplicate data.

Only one equals can exist in the filtered range at the same time.

3.Incremental refresh configuration requires the data source to support query folding, check whether your data source supports query folding.

4. If the data source does not exist in the table Date/Time type of field, you can use a custom function to convert the type of data, you can refer to the following official documents to set up.
url: Configure incremental refresh and real-time data for Power BI semantic models - Power BI | Microsoft...

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Best Regards,

Carson Jian,

RangeStart and RangeEnd must be datetime, not date.
