Incremental Refresh loading file from Excel

I have a data in the excel file located in the sharepoint, Each excel file has a name begin with date when I loaded all the excel file in the sharepoint I apply the filter into date from name with RangeStart and RangeEnd for setup the incremental refresh. Ater I setup the incremental refresh, I try to change some information from the latest excel file assume date as 06.04.2026, the data before I change has 1000 rows, after I changed has 500 rows, the file name not change, change only the data inside the file. After I click the refresh the data still 1000 row not change to 500 rows. I set up the incremental refresh for archive 1 month and incremental refresh 10 days.

Hi,

As Data is coming from Sharepoint location, try Date Modified for configuring Inremental refresh. Using this column will make sure that the changes inside the Excel are taken up during refresh.

Hello @Jidapa18

Incremental refresh is not updating because you are using file name date, which doesn’t change when the file content changes. In Microsoft Power BI, refresh only happens when the filter column value changes.

Try Use Modified Date from SharePoint instead of file name, so any file update triggers refresh and your data updates correctly.
