Incorrect Matrix Row Totals

There are lots of posts about this, but they all seem to involve measures.

I have a single dataset, no measures, relationships, etc.

Throw the data in the matrix and 1 + 1 = 1,     12 + 2 = 12, etc.

In this case I DO filter by columns, but I would expect that the totals should still add up

I should get

Part       LocA Qty     Loc B Qty     Total

abc      2                   12                   14

instead I get

Part       LocA Qty     Loc B Qty     Total

abc      2                   12                   12

Someone  mentioned averaging, but that would be an exceptionally retarded thing for PBi to do.

Again, NO MEASURES in this dataset. Filtered on Columns.

Ideas?

It could be that instead of doing a COUNT, Power BI is doing a DISTINCTCOUNT which would lead to the totals being different. Is it possible that in the example Part abc can exist in both LocA and LocB?

Also, no need for hostility towards the software or when asking for assistance. Measures are an incredibly powerful tool, and could solve this issue for you as well.
