Importing an Excel model into Power BI desktop created by a template.

Hi,

I have a calendar setup as template. I use this as a starting point for my work by opening the template. However when I try to import an Excel file containing a PowerPivot table Power BI desktop don't load in with my calendar data but seems to start a brand new model? Is that working as intended?

Thanks...

Hi @Bando,

Based on test, current power bi desktop not support directly import calendar table. I'd like to suggest you use dax calendar function to create the calendar table.

I don't think the issue is that the data in the template is a calendar. It's simply that I cant load a template then import in a data from an Ecel file with a PowerPivot table in it. I've tried it with other templates. Thanks.
