Import vs Direct Query Refresh Report

I am importing data from Big Query via the import method. I have a published report on a workspace. What I would like to know is that if I use the import method to get the data will refreshing the report include the new data that was added to Big Query.

Hi @Anonymous,

Refreshing the report will add the new data in desktop but you will have to do either of these things to see the updated data in service:

  1. Publish the report again after refreshing and replace existing dataset.
  2. Or refresh the dataset manually in Power BI Service.
