Hello,
I made a data model in PowerBI Desktop and saved both the source excel sheet and the resulting pbix file in OneDrive for Business. I have connected the service and setup the reports and dashboards etc.
As the requirements are changing, I want to edit the pbix file to either add additional data sources or create new reports. Firstly, I want to know if anyone has any suggestions of how I can import the pbix file that I have in OneDrive into Desktop so as to be able to do the required editing.
Secondly currently, the path for importing the pbix file is the OneDrive for Business folder on my laptop(since currently I can't seem to be able to import the pbix saved on OneDrive). I can easily open and edit the file, but for some reason even after saving the pbix file with the changes, OneDrive in O365 doesn't show the recent edits. The timestamp in the OneDrive for Business folder on my laptop changes to reflect the updates but the OneDrive web version does not. As a result, when I hit 'Refresh Now' in Services, the dataset/reports don't show any updates (given that Services is importing the pbix saved in Onedrive in O365) even though I just made some changes.
Am I missing something or doing something wrong here?
I am a free user with Desktop updated to the most recent version.
Thank you!

Hi @avneesh_sharma,
According to your description, when you modify the .pbix file in OneDrive for Business folder on the laptop, corresponding changes doesn't reflect in Power BI Service report, right?
In Power BI Service, when we make changes to the Power BI Desktop file on OneDrive and save, and those changes will be reflected in Power BI within an hour. As in your scenario, the changes in .PBIX file in laptop cannot be updated in OneDrive for Business, the issue is more related to OneDrive for Business, I would suggest you post an thread to fix the issue on OneDrive side firstly: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_onedrivefb.
If the OneDrive for Business can update the .PBIX file in laptop, while Power BI Service doesn't update changes with one hour, the issue might be because Power BI cannot connect to OneDrive for Business. Please connect to the file in OneDrive again.

If you have nay question, please feel free to ask.
