Hello
I am trying to import files from a folder but I am facing DataFormat.Error as the length of the path is too long, below is the structure of my folders and what I am trying to achieve.
I would like to get a specific Excel file from folder 3 of each project.
I created two queries one for 2018 and one for 2019 and it's basically analyzing extensions and name file contains a certain value.
it's working fine for 2019 but for 2018 I am getting the DataFormat.Error.
I am clearly a beginner in PBI and would like to know if there is a certain way to tell PBI to ignore the file if the path is too long? Can I ask PBI to analyze only folder 3 of each project instead of all files?
Thank you for your help

I have decided to rename some folders in order to fix this issue, I have lost too much time looking for a solution and it appers none is available.
I wish Power Bi add the possibility to ignore an error of longpatch and move to next folder in the future.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Would you like to get one special file of a folder but not the whole folder files? If yes, you can choose the Excel or Text/CSV instead of Folder to get data.
Best Regards,
Amy

Hello Amy
Thanks for your reply.
I am actually trying to get a specific file but from multiple folders, when choosing from Excel you need to fill the exact location, I want PBI to pick an excel file from each Project folder on my storage.
