Impact of Changing Column Name when Data is refreshed from Source

Hello 

I have the sample table below spulled from a DB. If e.g. I change the name of a column from value_ndc_assignto_value@odata to Assign To, what would be the impact when the data is to refershed? if it will impact the data refersh when making calls to the DB, how can i change the display name, so that the visuals would only show the name I want it to show?

You can change column names freely in 3 ways (without any effect to refresh process.
1. From PQ 

Then you can see the history of your changes as recorded steps :

2. On data view

or on visuals only then you can keep your original names
