Identifying if a concatenated list of values contains "Selectedvalue"

Hi all,

I am looking to write some DAX that identifies wether the selectedvalue (picked from a drop down filter) is

The selectedvalue is picking a fund (or the name of a fund)

I have a measure that displays the selected value

SelectedFund =

SELECTEDVALUE(Funds[FundName])

I then have another column called FundNames which includes all of the funds that are related to each ID. I need some code that will identify which IDs include the name that is selected.

I have tried --

CONTAINSSTRING(MAX('Portfolio'[FundNames]),[SelectedFund])

But this seems to always return TRUE even if the selected FundName doesnt appear for that row.

I've tried all sorts of other ways but with no success. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi @RobMiddleton 

please provide more details, then we can work on it further.

(1) a sample file, you can replace raw data with bogus data to protect your privacy.

(2) or provide some sample data that fully covers your issue/question, including table Funds & Portfolio.

(3) give your expected result based on the sample you provide

Kindly note: Please ensure the data in sample is concise and representative.
