IF function error?

Hello,

Why am I getting an error with my IF formula on a Query New Column?

=if([Category 1]=" ",[Family 1],[Category 1])

If complaints about the "," but cannot figure out why.

Thank you

J

Did it differently.

Used a Conditional Column. Much easier.

ok.

"if" needs to be spelled "If"

But am still getting an error saying that

"Expression.Error: The name 'If' wasn't recognized.  Make sure it's spelled correctly."

Any reason why?
