Helper IIIIF ISBLANK Return Blank
Hello,
I have a column I created that checks to see if there are blanks in my reference column and if there are, they should be replaced with the word Unknown, otherwise use the reference column result. Here's my Dax. The blanks are still showing in my table. Any ideas as to why this is happening?
Depending on your data source, they might not actually be BLANK(). They could be empty strings or a space or something.
I would fix this with Power Query instead of DAX. In the home tab, click Edit Queries, and then find the Provider column. Find a cell with a blank Provider, right click and select "Replace Values", replacing empty strings with "Unknown"

nsadams87xxOkay thanks. I was thinking that too, this is a CVS file and honestly I really am not sure what is exactly in those cells. I'll do what you suggested.

This "error" is related with the way dax handles blanks, check this post with an explanantion.
You should use the following code instead:
Provider correcting blanks = IF(CSM_ED_SATISFACTION_20190606[Provider] = BLANK();"Unknow";CSM_ED_SATISFACTION_20190606[Provider])
Believe I have copy your table name correctly if not please adjust.
