Hey guys!
I wonder if you can help me with a question...
I am not able to update my report published in Power BI Online, I can only update manually via Power BI desktop.
It happens that I connected to the MYSQL database and after that the automatic update was disabled. What do I need to do to be able to update my report that has a direct connection to my MYSQL database?
Thank you very much in advance!
I am using a Mysql database connection:
What does it show when you click "Show details" next to "Scheduled refresh has been disabled"?
Yes, scheduled refresh has been disabled. I've been researching and apparently I need to use the Gateway connection, make sense?
If your MYSQL database is hosted on-premises, you'll need to setup a gateway in order to facilitate the data refresh (1). Once you setup the gateway, you'll need to ensure that the credentials for the SQL database are entered in Power BI Service(2).
Actually my database is on a cloud service provider. Through Power BI Desktop I only needed to inform the IP, Port, User and Password to be able to connect the database. However when I publish to Power BI Online, the update doesn't happen and scheduling is disabled.
