Hello Team,
I need some assistance with a visual that displays data about a particular project and its scores based on Data Quality Dimensions. This data is presented in a matrix visual.
I am trying to add a hyperlink to the table name column, but despite trying various solutions found online, I haven't had any success. Under cell elements, I cannot find the original column name for the table. Please review the screenshot below and provide guidance.
If you need any additional information, please let me know.
Thank you for your help!
Hi @danextian
Thank you what is the alternative that I can do to have this completed.
Please help me resolve this, I have been on this for a while, I have seen some videos and promised that it is possible. Now I cant go back saying it is not possible.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Thanks for your message, and I completely understand the frustration.
Currently, Power BI doesn’t support adding hyperlinks to row or column headers in a Matrix visual that’s why the “Table Name” field doesn’t show up under Cell Elements for URL formatting. This limitation is by design, and hyperlinks are only supported for fields in the Values area.
Power BI's Table visual allows URL formatting directly. If the main goal is to allow users to click on table names, this is the most straightforward option.
If I misunderstand your needs or you still have problems on it, please feel free to let us know.
Best Regards,
Menaka.

Hi @Anonymous
In Power BI, applying web URL conditional formatting to a column or row category isn't currently possible. Conditional formatting is only supported for values, which is why the Table Name column doesn't appear in Cell elements. However, you can still categorize a dimension as a hyperlink, and it will be displayed as one, but without conditional formatting.
