If you need to use the "Synoptic Designer" developed by OKViz (https://synoptic.design/), take below notes into consideration:
1-If you upload your image and then make area and enter related codes, after exporting and saving it as .svg , it would work perfectly after you import it in Power BI Desktop.
2-But If you want to use the images that are already available in the "Gallary" section of "Synoptic Designer", after importing in Power BI, in some cases it does not work. For example for the "ISO World Map", this would happen and in Power BI Desktop it only shows "G 1" label and it does not match with your country codes which are availbale in your data.
How to solve it?
You need to:
1-Export the raw image of ISO World Map from Synoptic Designer.
2-Install "Inkscape app" (https://inkscape.org/)
3-Import the exported image into Inkscape app
4-Open the Layers Tab.
5-Right click on the folder "G_1" and select "UnGroup Layers".
6.Then for each layer, right click on it and select properties and put the ID per country based on data.
7-Save it as .svg file
By putting this in Power BI Desktop, it would work.
**Inkscape is suggested by Synoptic Designer as well.
**In case of "ISO World Map", or other images that contain lots of layers (for example more than 150 or 200 parts), this visual would be too slow to be loaded after publishing your dashboard. So I think OKViz need to revise it then it would be Greatttt.

Loran
