How to use an existing table as the starting point for an ODBC query

Hi

I have a report that imports an Excel spreadsheet someone else updates, and I am wondering if I can use this table as my starting point for an ODBC query

Thanks

Hi, @Jonathan_Hayden

Powerbi comes with a connector for excel. But if you want to use this table as a starting point for ODBC queries, you

may need to create an ODBC data source first.

Please  try follow these steps to setup a DSN.

Windows Administrative Tools -> ODBC Sources  -> Choose User DSN ->Create new datasource->Choose  'Microsoft Excel Driver'  from the list-> Set properties(DSN,description,wookbook)-> Press 'Configure'

If I misunderstand, please feel free to ask.

You will likely run into the formula firewall really quickly. Try running the entire transform in a single query.
