How to sort Months by chronological order?

Hello,

Question of a beginner: I'm trying to do this:

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-sort-by-column/

but with no avail.

What I'm missing?

Essentially, what you want to do is make another column that is MonthNumber = MONTH(yourdatefield).  That puts a numerical field there corresponding with months of the year 1- 12.  Then click on your date column (or month column however you have it spread out) and look up at the top ribbon for "Sort by" and click your MonthNumber column.
