I have a dashboard created on a single table stored in SQL. It has 15 columns and for internal use. Now we would like to share the data from 5 columns to an external user.
I did some research. If the BUILDING PERMISSION is granted to the external user, he/she will be able to connect to the dataset. However, he/she will see all 15 columns. How can I restrict the visibility or access to only the 5 columns of data we would like to share?
Thanks very much.
Power BI does not yet support Column Level Security. You have to maintain a separate dataset that does only include the columns you want to share externally.
