The frustrating thing about Power BI is I constantly feel like I am working in a tiny box from which I cannot escape. For example, some of us (good for you do if you are not among us) have canvas backgrounds that are more than just a single background color. As a result, we need to set all the elements that are not displayed with "No Color", not the brutish solution of the canvas background color.
I know that if you select None for Style for a Matrix, it resets the background color of the column headers to "No Color" but not the Text Color. And even more frustrating there is no "No Color" option in the color picker. I could go on...
What is going on here, Microsoft? How on earth did your developers get something so simple so wrong? Am I missing something?
Or, better yet, why can't I add a 'No Color' color as a theme color? That would seem like a simple workaround. Ugh, why, Microsoft? Why?
I appreciate the response, and I am well aware of the hack to change the names of rows and columns to " ". But, it is a hack because when you click on the ellipses for the matrix and go to "Sort by", all you will see is blanks. So, it isn't a criticism of you directly, but the Microsoft respondents who will come in here with similar solutions. Sorry, that is not a solution. Neither is the response, "It is not possible, but you can vote for this feature in the ideas."
I created this matrix on an orange background by giving the visual background 100% transparency. The white gridlines were intentionally added by me.
I also made the header values nothing by leaving them blank, so they aren't colored at all. They're just not there.
Not sure if this is what you're talking about?
